Post Your Introduction In THIS Thread

All new members must introduce themselves in this thread with their first post. You do not have to violate any PerSec in the introduction. Your life story isn't required, either. Your profile should list units served in as well as time frames.

This area is for introductions and greetings only.

Thanks

Hi Everyone..

I am posting my intro here since I could not locate a designated posting section on the bulletin board. I apologize if this is not the correct placement.

Hi to Everyone,

My name is Tina and I am involved with a man in SF who is currently deployed. I came across this site when searching the web for information on SOC and SF. I have had a lot of questions come up since he left that unfortunately I cannot get answered from him while he is away.

After reviewing some of the treads on this site, I decided to register myself as some of the posts have been very enlightening to me and I am hoping to get a better insight on SOC and SF that may help me during this deployment.

I must say that I love your blunt open humor on this site. God Bless you wonderful Dominant MEN!!!

Thanks for all you do!!

Awesome, we need more Rangers here!

Currently stationed out here in awesome hawaii, training for my upcoming journey to BUD/S. Look forward to exchanging info, mostly getting info, from some great minds in the SOF communities out there.

Ozymerc 10 December 2007 18:24

Hi everyone, i'm an Ozy Boy from Sydney. I discharged in late 2005 after spending 10 longs years with the Military. I was based with Army Aviation before making the leap across to Perth WA. Where i served out the rest of my career. All my time abroad has been in the Middle East, i know Afghanistan like the back of my hand and Iraq pretty well. I'm trying to secure another contract OS, so if anyone can help please let me know, because i'm struggling to find good contacts. Cheers and its a pleasure to know my SF Brothers.

HI - sorry I didn't do this yesterday - I thought I did last year when I first signed up.

Was 82nd from 80-85, ACB2 from 90-96, MNARNG from 6/07-12/07 and just reenlisted to go 38B on the reserve side.

Doing my due diligence - getting info and resources.

Intro

Currently I am attending college at NMMI. I personally don't have any military experience although my dad served in the Air Force. Thanks for having me.

AlStam 11 December 2007 15:56

Greetings and all that. Thanks for running this site, it's pretty amazing. I was an active duty enlistee 18X, 83-86, last duty assignment was 18E30 A-3-10. Then I, well, became an officer, in the reserves. In hindsight not the best choice.

Now I work as a Pol Sci professor at University of Michigan. Go Blue.

CTR_Settite 11 December 2007 16:46

Hello and thanks for the site approval. I am a former CTR2 that was stationed at NSGA Yokosuka in a direct support billet most of my Naval career. In bootcamp I was slated to goto EOD school but dislocated my shoulder really bad which stopped that from happening. I was medically discharged in 2004 because they wanted to deploy me and my shoulder didnt recover fast enough post reconstructive surgery. After my discharge I have worked as a contractor with the USMC CoC program, JFCOM J28 ISR programs and now am going to NETCOM C4i. I am also a Army reservist and am rated as a 35L CI Agent attached to the 301st Reserve BN . In the reserves I hope to get Airborne and RIP. I have worked with SOF in support roles during active duty and as a contractor and would love to join their ranks.

Welcome aboard all.

CTR_Settite, it's good to see another former CT on here. FYI there is a lot of good G2 on this sight (use the search feature), which might help with your aspiring career path.

Good luck.

hope i'm doing it correctly.

thanks for letting a non-SF type hang onto the skids for a while.

started in USMCR in 85 as 0131/8531 in a bulk fuel co, then augmented to active duty in 89 with LAAM, FAAD/LAAD bns for duration. picked-up 7212/9962/8532. was spun all the way up as a LAAD WTI, and finished on I-I duty.

FNG here

Aco 1/75 from Dec 2001 until Dec 2002 (OEF I), Released For Medical to shit hole 3rd Infantry Division from Jan 2003 until May 2005 (OIF I-apparently, medically unfit for the 75th isn't necessarily medically unfit for Big Army).
Currently drawing my disability check from the VA while rehabing myself and (either the smartest or dumbest thing I've ever done) currently pursuing a Commission along with my BA and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
I'll probably be the only douchebag cadet sporting a Scroll on my right shoulder. ACU's are so gay.
