I saw this announcement this morning. Does this not have the usual maximum age at entry of 37 years old?

I think there is an age limit
37

I read the announcement and found towards the bottom.

In addition, all applicants who are not currently employed in the law enforcement provision of FERS or the Civil Service Retirement System must be less than 37 years of age at the time of referral. (Unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special civil service retirement provision, including early or mandatory retirement). Applicants who are eligible for veterans preference must be less than 40 years of age at the time of referral.

Meeting USSS tonight for bike night. I’ll ask if they have any in their office

I believe it is still true you must have 20 years by 57. My friend doesn’t have any investigators in his office.

Local Agent said it was to provide bodies for upcoming elections since its a temp gig.

Standing in back allies, stairwells, and other shitty places regular agents aren't wanting to stand before/during/after campaign visits and stops.

Agent do the same thing, mostly. Different jobs/pay scale- backgrounds on potential agents/uniform division.
Campaign coming up, agents will be doing certain things.
Retired agents can fill those positions
