1000 pushups.

64 min, 31 sec.

I wish I could state that I think I can break 1 hour, I don't think I can do it -- at least not today.

So, 3k pushups in 5 days.

I only fell a couple of times, once yesterday, and twice today....

jtk317 31 August 2012 19:55

Is that part of te PFT for getting your God card? :biggrin:

Seriously though that's badass.

Thanks. I was worried that the overtraining was going to cause me an injury, but in the end, the key seemed to be to keep good body position, do reasonable sets, and to do the exercise as properly as possible. I felt my left shoulder twinge a couple of times today -- previous torn rotator cuff -- but I concentrated on doing the exercise right and not pushing it ridiculously, and things worked out.

I wish I had the strength to beat the 1 hour mark, but I know that I do not.

I am kinda happy that I beat my previous time, especially since I was sorta wore out after doing these all week;

I imagine length of rest time was pretty important during those 64 mins. I know my own rest times can't be too long or I get tight or too short and I don't have enough gas to finish the set.

Dogwasher 31 August 2012 22:18

Respect, SOTB.

If you were only four minutes over I'd almost guarantee that you could hit 1000 in an hour if you took a week off any pushing work.

Are you training to kick Herschel Walker's ass?:cool:

GoatTracks 1 September 2012 17:37

Same Fahrenheit reading, but FUCK -- it felt so fucking HOT. Weatherunderground reported it felt like 104F. Hot, fucking HOT. The upside is I'm lighter now (today) than I have been in the past 19 years. Bigger in my arms and chest, but lighter overall. Yippee....

1 min sit-ups? that seems kinda low compared to the daily work-outs. Do you over use your hip flexers?
