About Verifications

Something that I've wondered about for a while now...

If you start a thread titled "Verification Request" (or similar) and the text of your post is some variation of "Request PMd to...", why did you start the thread?

Enquiring minds want to know

Thank you Firstshirt!
I had the same thoughts.....

I have done a few. All asked and answered via PM. I never thought to question whether or not the SEAL verifyers monitored their PMs.

I asked a prior one via PM and then several years went by. In that time, I saw others doing it via thread and then being answered in the thread as well. So I assumed I was doing it wrong and I recently made a new request and did it the "annoying" way.

I am unsure which they prefer.

The few I have done have always been via PM. Why put the potentially real deals name out there if it not needed, especially if AD.

The one post wonders are the ones who usually double tap by PM and in the open. I check both frequently, but since they are FNGs, they don't know.
