Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Tampa needs your help!

Hello fellow Night Stalkers! Several years ago I went through a traumatic physical change in my life after breaking both feet in 9 different places.

The community came together and helped me financially in a time of need.

I need your help again.

Since your help Ive dedicated my time to Volunteering and helping develop a Program that brings healing to so many Veterans Active Duty and local Veterans through Adaptive Sports Program from the James A Haley Veterans Hospital Tampa, FL.

Currently I'm the Program Lead for PHWFF Tampa, Florida.

We can use any and all support you can provide.

Thank you for your time in this matter!

PS June marks my first month running an Active Duty Warrior Program providing services for two Active Duty Veterans once a month indefent

Currently my team and I provide services to an average of 15 Veterans monthly.

We gather and teach fly tying and casting techniques; followed by an event using those techniques learned on the water.

We need help getting on the Water any Captains in Local area please sign up for an event.

Any Donations please specify Tampa Florida Program. Thank you!

It's been awhile, but used participate in the local PHWFF through my local TU chapter. Good program and a great way to serve those who Served.

Good on you!

You guys need any gear? Actually spent the day cleaning out my garage. I might have a rod/reel combo or two that need to see the water again.

NASDQ2015! 4 June 2017 15:35

Awesome; Thank you! Are you local? Central Florida!

cj 4 June 2017 15:51

Let me know how I can help, I'm local. Also, I highly recommend making contact with DJ over at the VTC. He is the head of the program, and is probably the best conduit for Vets in the TB area. He also coordinates a Vet jobs program and has access to every other conceivable Vet program and thousands of individual Vets. Please let me know if you'd like me to facilitate that introduction.

Subject: Donations/Sponsorship

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.

We host monthly fly tying, rod building and casting classes at the Bass Pro Shop in Brandon and at least one outing each month to encourage our members to gather and heal emotionally and physically through camaraderie and fly fishing. Additionally we coordinate and fund two larger annual, all expenses paid, events in Greenville, SC and Brandonton, FL.

As a small team of all veterans and volunteers we are seeking donations of any kind to support our local disabled combat wounded and injured Veterans from the James A Haley Veterans Hospital Adaptive Sports Program and the Special Operations Command Physical Therapy clinic.
Anything you can provide goes directly to our chapter and has a direct impact on the lives of our injured Veterans.

I appreciate your time and consideration.

I would like to offer up my video library of salt water fishing videos of none other than Flip Pallot. I think I have several seasons of his show. Great, informative vids. Also several with his long time friend (RIP) Jose Wejebe.
And many others. I have watched them many times throughout the years.
They are on VHS (old school). Would you like them ?
Furthermore, I have met Flip and some of his friends in the FL keys years ago. Great guys and known for supporting/assisting organizations such as what your involved in. I believe he still resides in Dade Co. Have you reached out to him ?

NASDQ2015! 15 June 2017 05:59

Thank you! What format are they in? We use more hands on approach to our teaching methods. I don't use videos. (Not enough time in our meetings or classes). All gifts are welcomed just want to let you know how it will be used. - If you send us the Videos our program depending what approach is more beneficial to the program; we will either auction them off for fund raising or place in goodie bags for our Veterans. So please; yes send them. Again; Thank You for your time and effort in this matter!

shady1 15 June 2017 07:11

Will do. They are several seasons of "the Walkers Cay Chronicles" they will make a great auction item. I will retrieve them from my camp and send them to you in the next week. Happy to help out.
Stay safe.

CJ can you send me more info on the VTC! I tried looking it up on-line with no success. As far as how you can help; the sky is the limit my friend. Money is always good but not your only option. You can get involved by volunteering you'r time, experience or equipment like Water vessels (access to Fishing/Fishing locations, land access; etc...). We also take donations in the form of equipment that can be used on the water. Thank you! Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello every one hope all is well!

I check my PO Box every day and nothing.

Whats going on guys we need all the support we can get.

My HQ is not paying for the PO Box. I'm paying out of pocket!

Not only that this is for a great cause were 100% of what you give

goes to support a Veteran or goes directly to the Veteran.

NASDQ2015! 12 July 2017 23:27

Way to step it up. Now keep it coming!

Finally somebody stepped it up.

Today I was given two boats for the program.
This is the first support I've received since posting to this page and boy was it a big one; unfortunately PHWFF does not accept Boats or Cars. Weird; policy!

Again, thank you for stepping up and helping a great group of Veterans. Lets go back and put our thinking caps on and try to help in other ways. Monetary is always a good one! Volunteering your time taking out a Veteran Fishing is another maybe donating your old fishing gear; etc....

Any and all donations will be dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.
