Great article...as usual. Like the mixing of the mineral and baby oils to simulate blood on the hands.

Thanks man, I purchased the test gun that's how much it impressed me.

My "new" 1911, a 1977 Colt Combat Commander. This was a strange acquisition.
My biological father contacted me after 39 years of radio silence to tell me that he
wanted to give me this pistol, which was given to him by his father before he died.
I have mixed feelings about this gun, but it's a beautiful pistol and I will take good care of her.

I love the two tone 1911's. I say keep it and cherish it. Some men can never say with words the things they want to say. I believe that every man should own a fine 1911. Getting it from your father makes it that much more meaningful.
