UFC 217

What a great night of fights. Every fight on the main card was a definitive ending.

Rose was awesome! She pitched a absolute shut out.

Finally, a fight night worth watching.... A night of transition

The girls fight was phenomenal and ends with a new straw weight champ. GSP returns and wins and TJ Dillishaw regains his title.

Its about fucking time.

GSP's return was epic. Great card all around. Who would have thought he could come back like that after all this time? I wonder how he would have done against Rockhold or another middleweight champ, or wouldn't a McGregor fight be nice?

And go up a weight class!

He is fighting Whitaker next, according to Dana.

The fights were worth the $60. I didn't want TJ to win, but it happens.

Something about Cody Garbrandt just rubs me the wrong way, so I'm glad TJ slapped him around. Hopefully Mighty Mouse agrees to fight him next.

And, unless she moves up to 125, there's no way Joanna doesn't get a rematch with Rose. There's no one else in the division that she hasn't already smashed, so a rematch is the only real option is she stays at 115.

TJ Dillashaw walked into the BJJ gym I trained as a few years ago with a small entourage. I had no idea who he was but could definitely tell he was a fighter. A couple months later I recognized him on a UFC commercial and thought "holly shit". He seemed very laid back and freindly. I have no clue what he was doing there or anything, I think he must have just been checking the place out on the way through town.

This is a shocking stat coming out of the Rose vs JJ bout:

5 Significant strikes landed by Jedrzejczyk, who missed on 37 of her attempts for an putrid 11 percent success rate. Jedrzejczyk had outlanded her previous six foes by a 971-to-328 count. Namajunas landed 15 significant strikes in victory.
