TFG had a valid suggestion, but I'm partial to this gun since it's the first 1911 I ever owned.
If it has sentimental value, keep it bone stock and buy the Custom TLE II / RL. Tell your wife not to be mad, and that I said it was OK. I don't have pleasant thoughts about that wrap around rail thingy.
