KiSS...one class act
Not everyone is falling for the NFL's bs. I didn't realize KISS was doing good things for vets.

S-a-tur-day NIGHT! S-a-tur-day NIGHT!
Oh, wait...that's the Bay City Rollers. That's a nice gesture by KISS, although I can't even remember one of their songs at this point.

Never was a big KISS fan, but good on them doing good things. I'm sure most of their fellow musicians are appalled and disgusted.

It's scary, I know. I remember that song from a TV show they had for a season in the 70s, and it's one of those lyrical brain worms that stuck.
Now that I mentioned it, I'll be plagued with it for 24 hours, like a bad case of tinnitus.

First concert I ever saw, Landover Maryland 1976. Still a fan after all these years, even more so now.

I'm going to start playing it every Saturday Night now, just to keep BCRs memory alive.
![]() If it wasn't for all the music from the 60s, the 70s would have sucked.

I kind of liked their MTV unplugged album. Like that they're doing good things and have managed to not implode like most successful rock bands.

Aging myself here. I was a big KISS fan in the 70’s. Good on them for supporting the troops. Concerts, posters and had all the old 8 tracks. Yes, 8 tracks. Young dudes may need to Google it. They were in cases in the trunk of my beat up car. Realized later in life the brilliant marketing of KISS and less than mediocre musical talent though.
Spinner, I am not looking for a debate here but, I would like to know your thinking on your post about if it weren’t for the music of the 60’s the 70’s music would have sucked. Not sure I quite see the influence being that strong if we are speaking about the rock genre. I have always understood the influence to be more of a Blues influence on what is now classic rock of the 70’s. Again no debate thrown out there. Just curious. If this is a derail, we can go to pm if necessary.

It depends. Did you wear a Pickel suit with colored unit patches?

I still remember the lights going black and that booming voice, "You wanted the best you got the best." Every guy I knew dressed like someone from KISS that year for Halloween. Of course we were like 12 or 13. Gene Simmons has a LP Vault collection, sale price: 2,000 buckaroos...and if you buy the vault--he will fly to your state and personally deliver that mutherfucker...pretty awesome, fan or not.
