Doc Martin

Found this on Netflix. Not bad at all. TV drama - comedy I guess you could call it - British humor. About a London surgeon who moves to a small coastal town to take over as the town's general practitioner. Of course the small town has a lot of quirky residents and some very unique situations ensue.

Pretty entertaining series, and gives a glimpse of small town UK life. Hilarious at times. Worth a watch.

I haven't missed an episode in years. Watch them every Thursday night on PBS. I love his dry sense of humor the best. He certainly makes the show interesting.

If you get the chance, Martin Clunes (Doc Martin) just played as Arthur Conan Doyle in Arthur and George. Outstanding series based on true events.

Excellent low key comedy series arising out of the similar movie
Saving Grace.

My wife had surgery a few years ago that required 6 weeks of downtime. She burned through all of the episodes before she went back to work. I liked the show, a lot.

The last episode of Season One was really good.

So was the episode of the Ranger with his squirrel friend.

Martin Clunes seems to be quite a funny guy in real life too. Some years ago he did a travel program covering his trip around Australia called Men Down Under. Not your usual travel series

Wait, are they still making this? A few years ago I had seen all the episodes (don't recall how many seasons) while housebound. I was surprised how I enjoyed it.

A brilliant series, everyone, supposed natives, do the Cornish accent brilliantly. Watching the series from the beginning, again! 7th series started in UK.

I want to shoot that roving, talky, group of teenage girls that appear on most episodes. Where is an 870 pump with non lethal pellets when you need it.

^^And afterwards, they should make you a sandwich for your road trip in your new truck right? Male privilege at its finest.

Crossthread points?

Season 9 is now available for download on I tunes.

Don’t know why like this drama, with the British humor, but Doc is entertaining.

I enjoy all the Brit, Aussie, NZ, and other foreign crime shows on these days. I watch some on PBS, because of no commercial interruption. Doc Martin is good, I like Death in Paradise too, many other serious ones whose names I forget.

My sister in law comes from a small town on the coast in Scotland that reminds me much of the town in Doc Martin. Spent a splendid week there many years ago when my brother was getting married.
