The passing of; Henry "Hank" Hubbard, Jr., MSG USA Retired

Henry "Hank" Hubbard, Jr., MSG USA Retired passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on 2 January 2020. Hank was born on 6 December 1947, Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Hank entered the Army in 1969 and graduated from EOD School in July of 1969. From 1970 to 1971, Hank served in the 85th Ordnance Detachment (EOD), Pleiku, Republic of Vietnam. There Hank was awarded the Silver Star Medal as a result of actions at Camp Dak Pek on 14 April 1970. Hank is one of only a handful of EOD soldiers to receive the Silver Star for actions in Vietnam.

Hank retired from the Army in 1989. From 1990 to 1991, Hank served as a UXO technician that included Ordnance Remediation of the post Gulf War battlefield in Kuwait. From 1993 to the present, Hank served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Site Safety Specialist dealing with UXOs.

He is truly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
