^^^my '96 was sweet when she was new, now she is road hard and up wet, 271k. After the recent transmission blip, starting in high gear and now not, I am in the market for something similar or a truck.

I have a 2000 Gen 3 with 152,000 mi and a 911 GT3. Lol, I actually still love driving that 16 yo truck even compared to the Beast ™. I'll keep that thing until the frame rusts through.

Hot Mess, does yours still have the stock seats? I have a 2001 and the stock seats kill my lower back after a couple hours driving. Looked at after market seats but never pulled the trigger. Otherwise, its been the best vehicle I've ever owned and I've had it for close to ten years.

I have a limited with adjustable seats and don't really have an issue. I'll limp for a sec when I get out after driving for 3-4 hrs. Strangely enough, in the GT3, not so much. It pulls 20 mpg at 75 all day long and I get 300 mi out of a tank consistently.

I could not bring myself to buy a crossover. Leasing a BMW 328i until I can figure out what I really want. It is a fun little ride.

It's only a matter of time until the term "crossovers" offends somebody and we'll have to start referring to them as something else.

Like Wives, rides are disposable. But she's pretty sweet.

Was up in Western PA and Eastern OH this week. Drove a Hyundai Santa Fe as a rental. What a piece of shit.

Recall on Subies, specifically Outbacks and Legacys. Something about the steering becoming disconnected.

My first new car was a Gremlin X, with a 304. It fell on me while I was installing headers. Was turning high 14's at the Ft. Hood drag strip.

My second new car was a Pacer Wagon, with a 4 speed. The syncros went out, (possibly hard shifting) and it turned out that when AMC bought the transmissions from Ford they didn't buy any parts.

Picked up a dark green, KIA Telluride, AWD with a book 1/2 thick on how to work the radio. It will try to drive it'self if you don't push the right button, freaky.

Party on Wayne. Enjoy the new ride. Nothing like a shiny new buggy.

I just had my Outback in the shop for some warranty work . Ten years now , I've had it almost two years, paid for an extended warranty( one of my smarter moves and they are few) . I got a 2019 Legacy for a loaner this week. What a sweet little car, it pert near kicked my ass trying to figure out how to use a car without a key!

KIA & Hyduai belive it or not registered top 3 in initial customer satisfaction and maintenance. KIA's quality has went up over many years. Whereas, they used to be an inexpensive alternative...now their prices are getting much higher. The KIA plant in Atlanta is supposed to be a top notch facilty.

Those & Mitsubishi have great warranties.

Looking at another Silverado 1500 myself.

Most dependable rig I ever had was a 1983 gl. Regret selling it all the time. My wife has an outback and it isn't half the car that 83 was. I keep trying to get her to get an old square body Suburban but so far she has successfully told me to fuck off.

I have a 3500 Cummins and I'm seriously to the point of tripping it and regressing to something like this. When injectors run $2000 (BTDT) and a new transmission is pushing $7000 . A lot of shit got hauled with these old 300 straight six's. Just not as fast.

I am not overly impressed with my '09 Outback, except in the snow, where it kicks ass. MPG is not impressive and it is way too small for me, Im 6'2 240 and I wear a size 15 and I have gotten my boots stuck under the pedals in the winter. The newer ones appear to be bigger and taller. If I went with another Subie in the future it would have to be bigger. My little Bro, the teacher , drives a few Lyft/Uber gigs on weekends. If I drove Uber with my Outback I would only be able to cater to the Hmong community!

Those old Kenosha Cadillacs have a devout following. Here's a little 304 that we did for a Pacer. Nothing special, nice little stock rebuild, everything fits, no having to massage everything to make it work. S/F....Ken M
