NO! Are you serious!!!??? In *Africa*!? But, but... 'Winds of Change'? I'm shocked I tell you. I thought tribal based societies were like, uber peaceful and shit? The next thing you're going to tell me is that there *still* over 9 million actual slaves in Mauritania (Edit: Africa) in 2019 and ruin my whole day...

That would be a neat trick in a country with population of less than 5 million.

Cut me some slack, that was all of Africa - Mauritania was just the last country to "abolish" it in 1905 *cough, cough*. Too much data in my head.

Yep...

Quote:
In 1981, Mauritania became the last country in the world to abolish slavery, when a presidential decree abolished the practice. However, no criminal laws were passed to enforce the ban. In 2007, "under international pressure", the government passed a law allowing slaveholders to be prosecuted.

It has also been insinuated that the former and current Nigerian Presidents have concluded a secret handshake with BK leaders which enabled them to operate freely in the North of the country without repercussions from the Nigerian gov as long as they stayed in that portion of the country.. could be far fetched but would explain a lot about the cluster fuck going on there now
