60 teens loot Philadelphia Walgreens

60 teen aged personnel recently walked in and looted a Walgreens in Philadelphia. Don't think an armed security guard could have stopped that. Are we experiencing a new phenomena here?

They don’t fear anything. Krasner ain’t trying to prosecute them. Lotta special rules for juvenile arrests and custody.

But at the same time they wonder (and politicians exploit) why their neighborhoods don't have nice stores - geez I don't know, cause and fuckin effect?

And when nice stores try to move in, it's gentrification.

I'm very familiar with this part of the city. It's not a bad neighborhood - at least it wasn't when I lived in the area. Looks like a bunch of stupid kids doing a stupid prank on a holiday. I am not condoning the actions in any way. But I would say this is a "one off" type of event vs. an indicator that shit's gonna get bad. I could be completely wrong, of course.

Itís not like it used to be at all. This is a common occurrence on Thursday through Saturday nights. Had a shooting just a few weeks ago. No cop wants South Street detail. Itís less the bar crowd and more the juveniles coming in swarms with nowhere to go and the adult gang members converging in the area.

That area has changed a lot, between the "wilding" incidents of years past, and uncontrollable groups of teens South St. on the weekends is a shithole.

I saw this and it reminded me of the Storm Area-51 "event" I've been seeing on Facebook. Some group trying to get a ton of people to storm the gates under the premise that they can't stop everyone.

Or in states where legal concealed carry is commonplace?

You don't have to stop everyone. Drop the first few with a burst from Ma Duce, and the rest will collectively shit their pants and trample each other running away. That's what Ma does best.

Good way to test out those top secret laser pulse flesh evaporation weapons they are developing at Area 51.

Would it be cool if Area 51 has actually developed a time machine, as one of the prevalent rumors insists, and all 250,000 are zapped and instantly transported back in time to 10,000 BC Nevada.

Obviously the individual who said that has never tried to assault a well dug in, well supplied and highly trained machine-gun section. I think a group attempting that would instantly regret it.

The Machine-gun section was a joke but non lethal, riot control and defensive security measures have really evolved into highly sophisticated systems for areas that require it. They could also trigger a lethal response they weren't expecting and I would bet that would halt any juvenile storming of the gate in a heart beat.
