I really want to get my hands on one of these. The ergonomics look fantastic and I'm willing to bet that it's a tack driver.

I just watched a bunch of Youtubes on this. Great idea and it seems like the young couple are really looking to make a name for this pistol design. AND his wife is smoking hot.

Any update? Anyone pick up one of these? I like the ergo of a 1911, and the concealability of a thin slide. I understand the placement of the recoil spring is to lower the bore axis, but it does look a little weird.

I picked one up and ran 175 rounds through it.

Flat shooting, accurate, soft recoil (it's steel so...) and a good trigger with a very short reset.

My local BX had one, and I was able to pick it up at for a smoking deal on Black Friday. I have one of the first 10 released to distributors. For me the jury is still out, although there are a lot of things about it I like.

The good: It just feels right in the hands. Even though it's double stack, the grip still feels very 1911-ish and thinner than say, a Para or STI. The trigger is good. Not Les Baer single action good, but better than the CZ P10C, which was going to be my next purchase when this showed up. I have shot it but once, and recoil is very manageable, which isn't surprising due to weight, and follow up shots are very quick. I got a Crossbreed IWB holster for it and I don't have any issues concealing it on my medium frame. It's heavy, but not too heavy; although my normal CCW is a HK P7, which isn't exactly known for it's lightweight characteristics.

The bad: The reason I've only shot it once is that on my second magazine, my shots started stringing left, then on my last round, the front sight slid right out of the dovetail. Trying to push it back into place, it slid freely back and forth. I was pretty miffed after putting only 30 rounds through the silly thing, but I emailed them and they were very quick (within an hour) with getting back to me and sending me a shipping label to return the slide for repair. I just got it back this week and haven't had a chance to get back to the range yet. They did install a brand new front sight; I can tell because the old one was scratched.

The ugly: I don't think it's an unattractive firearm, but I am concerned with the ability to mount a light. There is a rail, but since the recoil spring is mounted so low, I think you'd probably need to use your middle finger to activate it. I haven't tried yet, and I haven't seen any pictures with an accessory mounted on the rail.

I'll need to put a few hundred (or thousand) rounds through it before I feel good about carrying it. I do like it overall though, and with some more testing and probably running a course with it, it'll get added to the carry rotation.

Here is a photo with a x200. The offhand thumb works well for activating the light. I have 450 rounds through it so far. No complaints but I was worried about getting a gen 1 firearm from a new manufacturer for the reasons that you mentioned.

Yeah, but as TFG pointed out the wife seems to be able to pass the pinky test...

It looks better in person.

It sounds a bit expensive for its looks - I like Glocks and 1911 and it seems like it may have gotten the heart and soul of both guns, but together, the parents made an ugly baby.
I think I need to wait to see how performs before I starting saving for one

What's the coating on it? Does it seem like it would hold up to daily holster wear?

It's a black nitride finish. I would prefer Wilson Combats Armor-Tuff. Overall I think that it will hold up but once I get a holster in (2 to 3 weeks) I'll let you know how it wears.

Nitrided slide and frame. Ought to be good/normal.

Added the H9 to my Drop downs. Surprised to find a mold for it.

Is it over-priced? Is it here to stay? I think yes on both.

Why? I think on a new product it's important to get it into many hands.

I'll be placing an order soon.

Here are the negatives.

1.) The machining on the frame could be better. The beaver tail should be blended with the frame as it rubs slightly. The trigger guard and accessory rail should be better dehorned as well.

2.) The guide rod is threaded and there are two videos of it loosening after 900 rounds. I checked mine at 450 rounds when cleaning and tightened it a quarter turn by hand. In my opinion this isn't that big of a deal. If it happens again I'll slap some blue loctite on the threads and call it a day.

It's always good to be wanted by someone.
