What are the details for filing for IBS? I have been told its a sure thing?

I tried to get Lyrica for fibro but the VA didn't send it to me. I only take IBUPROFEN for my pain. I quit taking the Cymbalta.

I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. I went to a VA Gastro doc about 3 years ago or less and she diagnosed me right away with IBS. I get constipated and get diarrhea , cramps and bloating and way too much gas. The abdominal pain can be very very bad. I just got over a flare up of diverticulitus which caused alot of pain. I also had a diagnosis of IBS from a doctor at the American University in 2017. I filed a claim last spring and just got awarded 30% for IBS which gave me 80% total rating. I hope to get 100% off of my other claims that I have on appeal.
I eat greek yogurt and take Polyethelene Glycol for constipation when it comes and I plan to get some good probiotics soon.

My friend just today went to the OKC VA. His first experience. Great job they did for him, signed in, ID card, blood work etc. oh so different than it was during Vietnam.

I'm glad to hear that it went well. I am thankful to have the VA. I remember Quality Health CARE being promised when I first went in the Army and I doubt Vets in other nations have it as good as us. I have complained about my Primary Care doctor but specialty doctors have been good to me. I have had three surgeries that didn't cost me a penny and I'm thankful for that. I got most of my diagnosis from doctors at Georgetown University and the American University while I was in a Gulf War Illness study. I should of had been diagnosed by my primary care doctor than I have had for about 10 years now. I'm considering moving so I'll just not stir up any trouble right now but I could get her in trouble if I choose to.
