IMO that's what all the major mfr's are tuning their
rounds for, and that's why they're on gelatin. The guy
with glasses said as much, about halfway thru.

The boutique, small production super pricey mfr's
(G2, RIP, Lehigh Penetrator, etc) rely on crazy
appearance and hype, without trying to tune for
gelatin.

I still think the historic research into street shootings
(effects on people vs effects on gelatin) are more
valid predictors/summations of performance. The
downside to actual shoot data is the inconsistency of
conditions; on the other paw, consistency of conditions
is the sole positive attribute of gelatin testing.
I'm in complete agreement with the gist of the video, which is that this sort of thing should be treated like science, with consistent standards and so forth. I was highly critical of things back when I had more free time and money and did my own gel testing, vs glass, sheet metal, etc etc. I've talked with Doc Roberts and others and I've finally come to the conclusion that if you use a decent modern JHP and put it in the right spot, repeatedly, you will have a high chance of success, as much as the over-all situation can be altered by shooting. If you go down to 87th and Stony Island looking to buy dope with pockets full of cash, bullet selection is not going to help one tiny little bit. S/F....Ken M

Hippy U-Tubers & Sales man

Using their protocols, a 9mm 147gr JHP is as, if not MORE "effective", as a 12 gauge/.73 caliber 1 oz slug.

Pardon my French, but they can suck a fat babies dick

Best wishes & good shooting.

And that's what gelatin has going for it---consistency, right down
to the little "calibration BB". AFA giving an idea of performance
on an adversary, not so much. Take your choice.
