Yes, it was supposed to deliver today, but required a sig (because the box is worth a pretty penny ). I worked night last night, slept today, so they should be holding it for pickup tomorrow...I hope. Regardless, it'll be up soon.

It was quite a score. The Burundi was #18, and amazing. If this sells out relatively quick, I'll have some other great CoE coffees to choose from as replacement.
Reckon I'll piss off my husband and go and buy a pound or two. He totally doesn't get the whole coffee and espresso thing......course if he drank it he would understand.

Sample pack is still up, still donating $2 per pack to the IMC. New Colombia in stock now:

Quote:
The Lot 172 was chosen from among hundreds of lots for this very reason: it's sweet. Brown sugar and toffee, dark honey and mulling spice in the aroma, along with hints of apricot. In the cup the dark sugar notes are balanced by a grapey acidity, and the sweetness and acidity combine to lend a strong sense of fruitiness throughout the cup. As it cools, raw cane sweetness, with almost molasses notes take the fore, and hints of lemon merengue appear.

Just a few more days to get Christmas orders in! I would say by the 18th at the latest, for delivery by the holiday. :)

Tell me the difference between Kenya AA and the AB you are offering.

The AA is by far my favorite!!!

AA, AB, etc refer to coffee bean size. This can correlate to a better cup, with AA being better than other designations; however, it's no guarantee, and many Ab's are better than AA's. In fact, a lot of Kenya is sold as generic 'Kenya AA', or 'Kenya AB', and those can suck.

My last Kenya was the Gaturiri Peaberry, and the current one is the Gaturiri AB. Both are from the same coffee trees, picked at the same time; only difference is they separated the peaberries out during processing, and sold them separately, because they aren't of the AB size. Flavor is somewhat different with the peaberries, but equally good.

So...don't worry about the size references when dealing with coffee. In S./Central America, they use screen sizes (16, 17, 18, etc). What's far more important is who grew it, how it's processed, who roasted it, and ultimately, how it tastes.
