I am looking for Marines who served in units and time periods that are familiar to me and even better those who currently live nearby North Florida. In particular, my first unit in the FMF was my closest family of friends from Weapons Platoon, Lima Company, 3rd Battalion 9th Marines, FMF Camp Schwab, Okinawa, "The Walking Dead".

Did you ever drink a cold San Miguel beer while listening to "Hotel California" being sung by a band of 5'4" Philipinos on the bar's stage who can't speak English but can lip-sync the song perfectly while Subic Bay honey's sit on your lap and say things like, "I love sailors on payday, but I love Marines every day!"?

If this rings a bell then we have something to talk about. Clark Air Force Base, President Marcos' Martial Law while bar hopping after midnight, Shit River, Monkey meat cooking on a Hibachi Grill on the sidewalk in Subic Bay, Bus trips to Manila, a helicopter crash on October 21st, 1977 in Mindoro Philipines part of operation Fortress Lightning (everyone who died on that CH-53 was my blood brother from Wpns Plt, Lima 3/9), Honoko (Gate Town to Camp Schwab), Kadina AFB (best chow on Okinawa), NTA (Northern Training Area Night time compass terrain movements), Floats to the PI and Camp Fuji Japan, Fly-away to South Korea with ROK Marines. At 19 years old, this shit was very real for me. Were you there? Do you miss your brothers like I do? Reach out to me brothers.
LOL, all I could come up with from reading this was..."The Nipa Hut."

Greetings.

Hey folks, I知 Bobby. I知 a prior USAF SERE specialist. 5 years active, 9 years contractor. Just separated from that to start my own company and get into owning some contracts. Currently running that business as a firearms instructor and I manage a decent sized gun shop. I知 hoping to use this to network and learn from those that have more experience than myself.

Cheers

Thanks for adding me to the group. I am not prior military but thank you to all that have served and continue to serve our nation. I am currently a 22 year veteran of municipal fire department in NE Louisiana and am a Fire Captain/Paramedic. Hold numerous certifications in Fire/EMS/HazMat/Technical Rescue. I've been a reserve deputy since 2007 and SWAT Medic with our local sheriff's office and police department since 2010. 5 years experience as a flight medic for local medevac helicopter service. Thanks for the add to the group and I hope to learn a little about the private contract world for future opportunities.

Hi all.

Spent my entire career so far, nearly a decade, as a SOT-A.

Took a brief step away from the line, joined up to keep an eye on what's going on in the community.

Thanks for having me.

I just want to know how an "amphibious" intelligence analyst differs from a standard analyst.

You corno-virus starting mutherfucker....now find a damn cure so I can wipe my ass properly. Other than that, welcome...and please take the time to explain your job in more detail. Unlike some of these knuckle-dragging members. I'm rather eloquent and dig the type stuff you do.

Welcome....

Hello, friends.
Thank you for letting me join this site as I really do not to deserve being around such fine men. My dad was a WW2 veteran and spent his life being of service to others.
My family and I are Texas Ranchers and like almost every Texas Ranchers loves America. I worked in the oil and gas construction business world- wide to support my farming and ranching habit. I enjoy training mules, horses, breeding gamefowl and bluetick hounds. I did work in the Congo as a contractor and a few other places, but it was mostly eating, sleeping and reading books.
