Microwave, top of the firebreak behind motor pool.

Pretty sure that it was added after OIF or we really failed on the traditions on this one.

Still there, but they use them for office space/class rooms these days. I lived in them in 93, they were shitholes then and I'm sure they were shitholes long before then too.

That's what it looked like to me based on the perspective, I was thrown off because you can't see the comm gear.

We had a dude in another platoon that got out and joined the reserves. Then his unit got activated for homeland defense after 9/11 and he moved into the flat tops... right across the street from the nice new barracks room he just moved out of... for a year... :D

I only had to flat top it for like a month, then 3/1 left so I moved into the three man room barracks next door. It wasn't the same one I had in 1/4 though, it was the three story. :D

I need the Army to give me an excuse to go out there someday, so I can take a rock up there.

Neither of us knew him Bobby, but from what I've heard he was one hell of a Marine.

RIP Cpl Allen. Raider for Life!

They're still there; I'm sitting in one now. This one (Urban R&S) and Assault Climbers next door are both slated for demolition soon. We are planning to move two flattops further South. I figure that should keep us safe for another year or two......I hope.

I thought the pic looked like it was past the gym. We had a GySgt that liked to run us up that fucker. During our MCRES on the hill behind motor T one of our 81 guys blew out a knee and a guy from one of the line companies started hacking his arm with his K Bar.
We stayed in the squadbays before Westpac 90. When we returned we had rooms.

You can see the pool in the background if that helps triangulate it.

Got it! That firebreak in the background, if memory serves me right, is the one the Recon Screening cadre would make us run up and down after our run swim run ruck swim run. :D

It is a good place for it, and I will need to visit this coming summer. From the looks of it, a bottle of Michael Collins or Jameson would be appreciated!
