Totally Agree. Wife and I went through and gathered all our Springfield Armory stuff, rented a table at the last local Gun Show, and sold ALL OF IT. M1A for $900? No Problem!....SAXD $350? Wait! There's MORE!

Sold EVERYTHING on Saturday, started ordering replacements on Sunday. LRB Arms makes a VERY NICE M14, I was able to go All In and upgrade. Wife got her some stuff too.

Also, anyone have any information on Standard Manufacturing 1911's? I have a line on one of the "Case-Colored" ones and am curious.

They climbed in bed with liberal progressive anti-gun politicians to curry favor for themselves, supporting laws to limit firearms manufacturing in IL which they would get a "carve out" exemption from...and they tried to be sneaky about it.

Good pistol provided you don't intend to shoot it a lot (and I mean A LOT). There have been issues with the frames cracking at the bottom rear of the front sight serrations.

Im very glad I asked, thats good to know. I was saving for a HK45 but I blew the money Christmas and now I have decided on a 1911. I saw a nice one at my local police supply shop but I forget the make. Im sure Ill be asking about it later. I have been reading a lot about 1911 and Im sure thats what I want. I wish I would have gotten my Grandfathers collection but they were stolen. He was a WWII vet. Purple Heart.

Just fixed up this made in 1974 colt series 70 mil spec for a client I am running through some shooting courses. Older retired dentist and member of the Indiana Guard Reserve. Doing training with HK vp9 and Beretta 92. But he is also a fan of his old 1911. Asked me to make it more user friendly, more accurate and more reliable. $600 budget.

Added:

10-8 rear vintage u notch sight
Fusion red fiber optic staked front sight
Smith and Alexander arched msh with extended magwell
Wilson combat beaver tail/grip safety
Wilson combat commander hammer
Wilson combat sear
Wilson combat full length guide rod
Wilson combat flat wire recoil spring
Harrison designs retro thumb safety
Hogue double diamond rubber grips
3 Wilson combat magazines
10-8 tank trigger
Ed brown extractor

Mission accomplished. Shoots great, 100 rounds test fire with zero failures.

Only if they make it in .41 AE or .460 Rowland. TFG has no time for pedestrian, mainstream cartridges that can be purchased commercially!

I have the Krypteia Edition of the Ed Brown Special Forces. Its a nice pistol, accurate. I had an issue with the mag release sent it back and wasn't really pleased with the results.
