I’m kind of hiding away money to get my hands on a PMR 428. Let me say this first, it doesn’t eliminate the need for training in all things ballistics; because shit breaks. All that said, I want it for coyote hunting with a Semi-auto .308,6.5(ish) rifle. If it breaks, I miss out on a yote, oh well. I can’t find much (some, not much) on it’s durability, so not sold on it for work stuff yet.

Indeed. Buy a good optic at a reasonable price, on sale (Optics Planet, MidwayUSA, etc.). Then learn to shoot with it. Spend the money on ammo and training....and a new truck.

WTF, I just spent 2K on a new scope, and $200 on rings.

Those will help me be a better shooter. Right!?

Ok enough sarcasm.

When I want to practice I take my 10/22 Target and a few sleeves of CCI Mini-Mags.

And spend the afternoon working on basics.

ĎZactly. I never understood the need for $5,000 scopes, when $800 scope and $800 in ammo will get you where you need to be.

I must have missed the memo stating any thread can be taken off topic.
