New information seems to raise the possibility of the incident in Jordan being blue on blue. When the video was reviewed, the guard allowed the first of the 3 vehicles to enter, then opened up on the second vehicle, which held the 2 of the 5th SF Grp, and the third vehicle which had another member of 5th Grp and an interpreter. Apparently the driver of the 3rd vehicle got out and returned fire, but was killed.

To your point I cannot say 100% this is what occurred. In retrospect, it is probably premature to make these conclusions.

My apologies if my post was viewed as insensitive. It was not intended that way. Here is the link to the story I referenced.

Earlier this month, three men of the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky deployed to help keep peace in the country of Jordan. On Nov. 4th, as the country was focused on the up-coming election, 27-year-old Staff Sgt. Matthew C. Lewellen, of Lawrence, Kansas; 30-year-old Staff Sgt. Kevin J. McEnroe of Tucson, Arizona; and 27-year-old Staff Sgt. James F. Moriarty of Kerrville, Texas, died after the convoy they were in came under fire as it entered a Jordanian military base.
These men will never spend another holiday with their families.
