VA Claim help in Guam
I have a friend who lives in Guam and he needs help with his claim. I was wondering that since Guam is a US territory wouldn't a VA claims lawyer in the U.S. be able to help him. He is a Desert Storm Vet former 11B.

foxcolt13,
Does he have a VSO? What is the stage of his claim? There are quite a few folks on Guam who have served. The Territory has a pretty big interest in seeing to it that these Vets get the services earned. It is not an economic power, so they advocate pretty hard to get the funds flowing to the Vet. Suggest he start here, http://www.pacificregionresources.or...zations_id=342 reach out to a VSO, and if not satisfied, go to one of the VFW, American Legion, DAV, etc., organizations and find a good one. If he is far along in the process with his appeal, the stateside lawyers that commercially do the work, will soon be sending him solicitation letters. |

20 years is a long time for a claim to be dormant.
