SOC is seeking ITIs, DDMs and K9 Handlers

Integration and Training Instructor (ITI)
Responsibilities:
A. Conducts training for WPS II personnel and integration training for LNs in overseas locations.
B. Liaisons with other training entities involved with WPS II and integration of LNs.
C. Serves as a mentor for integrated LN protective security personnel.
D. Coordinates and conducts in-service training and firearms re-qualifications for WPS II personnel.
E. A bio approved ITI is authorized to permanently fill the position / labor category of the Protective Security Specialist (PSS) in case of shortages with the approval of the CO or COR.
Qualifications:
For bio approval, the ITI shall meet the following qualifications:
A. Must be a US citizen.
B. Level three (3) proficiency in the host nation language and the language of the task order labor force are preferred.
C. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years experience as an instructor in a security field.
D. Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a full-time equivalent (FTE) firearms instructor, this experience must have been earned as part of other federal, state, or local government training assignments.

E. Must possess a minimum of five (5) years experience in protective security assignments.
1. A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been in a supervisory or in-charge capacity.
2. A minimum of six (6) months of this experience must have been in protective security under WPS II or any of its predecessor contracts (WPPS, WPPS II, or WPS).


PSS/Designated Defensive Marksman (PSS/DDM)
Responsibilities:
A. Provide designated defensive marksman services as assigned.
B. Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
C. Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or acting as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations.
D. Maintains assigned protective formation position during principal’s walking movements.
E. Participates in advance security preparations.
F. Mans the security post at the principal’s residence or mans the command post, or other static post as required.
G. Serves as a member of an ERT or QRF as assigned.
H. A bio approved PSS/DDM is authorized to permanently fill the position / labor category of the Protective Security Specialist (PSS) in case of shortages with the approval of the CO or COR.
Qualifications:
For bio approval, the PSS/DDM shall meet the following qualifications:
A. Must be a US citizen.
B. Must attend and successfully complete a sniper/DDM/sharpshooter program issued by a military, law enforcement, or security (government or commercial) training program. This sniper/DDM/sharpshooter program must be of suitable complexity and quality to adequately prepare the graduate for successful performance as a WPS II DDM. Examples of programs that meet this requirement include, but are not limited to:
1. US Marine Corps (USMC) Scout/Sniper
2. US Army Sniper School
3. US Special Forces Sniper School (formerly SOTIC)
4. Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Hostage Rescue Team (HRT)/Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT)
5. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Mobile Security Division (MSD) DDM
6. National Tactical Officer’s Association (NTOA) recognized law enforcement sniper course
C. Must provide evidence of a minimum M4 qualification score of 95% (i.e. 285 out of 300 with iron sights) or better on the DS qualification course of fire. This qualification must be the candidate’s most recent M4 qualification and have been performed within the last ninety (90) days. The candidate shall maintain this qualification level with the M4 throughout contract performance under this CLIN.
D. Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of applicable experience.
1. A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must be as a DDM/sniper/sharpshooter. Candidates claiming military experience must have either a sniper military occupation specialty (MOS) or additional skill identifier (ASI). If claiming law enforcement experience for this requirement, must be full time, not as a collateral duty.
2. Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course as outlined in SOW – Attachment 2, Training.


Canine Handler – Guard (CH-G) (S)
Responsibilities:
A. Provide on and off compound detection of explosive materials.
B. Perform daily maintenance training (i.e., performance and explosives detection) and maintain training records for assigned detection dogs.
C. Maintain the day-to-day health and welfare of assigned detection dogs.
D. Maintain all assigned canine-related equipment (see Attachment 6, Standard Equipment).
E. Perform basic canine emergency first-aid as needed.
Qualifications:
For bio approval, the CH-G shall meet the following qualifications:
A. Must be a US citizen.
B. Must possess NAPWDA certification or equivalent national/state/provincial military or law enforcement certification as a working dog handler.
C. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a military or law enforcement dog handler.
D. Must possess a minimum of one (1) additional year of security-related experience.
E. Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the guard training course as outlined in SOW – Attachment 2, Training.
