Death Wish

Looks like Bruce Willis is in town, shooting scenes from a remake of the original. Or perhaps it's a remake of one of the 4 or 5 sequels to the original, hard to tell.

If they really want to get some good footage, they should probably do some shooting (with a camera, of course) in one of the many shitty neighborhoods that dot the map of present day Chicago.

Trailer is out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_I4zqC7GN8

Willis gives a little lighter side than Bronson (except when he's addressing the tragedy directly)

I will grab a copy when it hits Red box.
I want to see it, I feel it will be a fun way to kill 1.5 to 2 hrs.

I never heard or seen the trailer until this evening when I ran up to Sheetz to get coffee. I was standing in line watching the news and it was the main topic of discussion.

I will see it because all the snowflakes and pathetic left is calling it a remake is so nakedly fascist, and racist, Alt right fan fiction etc...

I guess since the movie doesn't evolve around cuddling and safe spaces it is wrong, and oppressive etc..

Fuck. That's directed by Eli Roth! That thing oughta be stank!

Eli Roth, the Jew Bear. Hostel. And made the mini film (about the Hero) within a film in Inglourious Basterds.

I'm surprised Emanuel and the film office gave them permission to shoot in Chicago, although they may have been able to challenge any objection on 1st amendment grounds.

Back in the day, when Richard J. Daley the father was mayor, no TV shows or movies were made in Chicago, by his decree. He didn't think they'd present the city in a good light, no surprise there. It wasn't until Jane Byrne was elected and welcomed the producers of The Blues Brothers to Chicago with open arms that the flood gates opened.

I'll eventually watch it on DVD, as I do with just about anything Willis is in these days.

Chicago needs about 500 of these types of men.

Yep, Twitter is going ballistic. Calling the movie "Alt-Right" or blaming it all on "Trump Voters". But, people are getting fed up, like never before. In my city, a punk gangbanger thug just got off scott free, for murdering a elementary art school teacher, due to a technicality. And then makes a you tube rap video celebrating killing her and getting off. I kid you not. People are fed up.

Everything is open to SJW and Twitter whining. Two months ago I was reading how milk is racist. Milk!

Watched the original Charles Bronson movie last night. Pretty good! The original first one was the best, better than the sequels. Sometimes you go back and watch movies from the 1970s, and they now seem pretty cheesy. But this one has stood the test of time. Probably one of the top, if not the top, movie that Bronson made.

Jeff Goldblum played one of the thugs, as I recall. Very first movie role.

And Christopher Guest played patrolman Reilly near the end, the one who basically writes his own ticket by playing along with the charade.

Out for download today. Been waiting so downloaded and just finished watching.

Good movie! Well done.

Can see why all the liberal critics have it low ratings so would not do well.

Very well made movie. Star cast.

Two thumbs up.

So did a young Lawrence Fishburne. His death was by far the most gruesome...

I think that was Death Wish II. Which oh BTW, the music score was by Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame.
If I remember correctly, the gang leader in DW3, was the guy who played Chuck Cunningham in the first couple episodes of Happy Days, of course never to be heard from again. lol But, yeah good movies.
