We have 4 slots still open for this. There is no longer a signing bonus and the pay is around $110-115 with bonuses..

These job descriptions drive me nuts in that they equate a CI Agent to 35E or 18F. A CI Agent is issued Badge and Credentials at the end of their training, they are primarily investigators of National Security crimes (although our career is broader than just investigations). This is not directed at the OP..this is just a general rant because it is such a common error and even unit commanders get it wrong. An 18F and a 35E does not have the same training, background or authorities. If you need a 35L, you need a 35L, not a 35E/18F...unless you are really looking for someone with HUMINT skills.

Hence my RFI, as the reqs are confusing to me.

It truly does make no sense. I went through the Defense Counterintelligence Agents Course at JCITA and was badged and credentialed as a CI Special Agent (although I never worked a single day in that capacity....LOL). Very few of the people I graduated with would be able to do what is asked for in this job announcement. My only rationale is that the number of those people who meet the qualification needed and who aren't working already is so low that they cant fill the positions without opening up the qual aperture VERY wide to quals that are similar in the minds of the people who dont understand the differences....ie "Close Enough, you'll figure it out when you get there".

Lol I just noticed the requirement for “Solicitation Techniques”

Me thinks they meant elicitation. Unless the job is in Bangkok, then maybe it IS solicitation!!

Solicitation techniques...hmm, 1 call and knock, 2 call system, a 1 call and meet at the complex gate...there’s quite a few techniques really

Correct, however, this is what is waiverable under the contract

Sharky, spot on.. it's only 110-120K for 12 months in AFG. Base is 60K the rest are bonuses for staying.. not the best thing we've posted but it's work..

Still need 3 of these folks. Pay is around 90-100K base salary which is $120K due to the 330 tax exclusion waiver..
