Medici: Masters of Florence on Netflix

Joint BBC-Itialian production with many of the actors from Game of Thrones in an multi-season production about the Medici banking and political family in 15th Cent Florence.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5057130/

So far pretty decent. It is strange to see so many actors from GOT in new characters. Especially with a few sharing scenes.

The story does move between time frames but it's easy to follow as they announce flashbacks and the characters appearances are different.

Stars Dustin Hoffman as Giovanni Medici
Richard Madden as Cosimo Medici
A cast of thousands!

So far only Season 1 is available but Sean Bean appears in Season 2.

Most importantly, there is nudity and boobs (though not up to the Skinemax standard). So, I'm GTG...

I watched this when it first came out. I liked it a lot. I was a History major and the Renaissance (and specifically the de Medici family) was my favorite period to study. I can't wait for S2.

Cool. I'll watch it. I've been watching DeVinci's Demons on Amazon Prime. This should tie right in.
