A Star is Born

Who saw it?

Any thoughts? Love it, hate it? Worth seeing?

As long as you know what you're getting into when you see it, it's actually pretty good; it had a few flaws but overall, I thought it was well done. Cooper and Gaga both turned in fine performances and Andrew Dice Clay proved he can actually act a little bit...

It was excellent. I saw it twice. All of the concert scenes were live performances at actual music festivals. Lady Gaga told Cooper that all the songs needed to be sung live, no lip syncing. Cooper directed a good one here.

It was good. I never saw any of the originals, but it's a good story. The wife always goes to the movies I want to see, and she wanted to see this, one, so I went. Glad I did, I enjoyed it.
Bradley Cooper is fast becoming a pretty descent actor IMO.

I wouldn't call someone who was basically playing themselves in a vehicle written for them "acting"...

Not going to watch any movie staring Lady Gaga.

Well it is 2019, so we can be whatever we want to be. I think I'll identify as an oak tree today.

OK, as a former cowboy, who wore chaps, this has always been my pet peeve when somebody says ass-less chaps. If they weren't ass-less they'd just be pants. Ok rant off,

If you're wearing pants with chaps, they're chaps...but if there's nothing going on but the chaps...take a guess and use one word to describe the scene, in other words fill in the blank:

_______-Chaps ....yup. Ass-less every time.

Now, if you are working on a horse, on a ranch, where there are livestock involved, chaps are cool. But if you're not wearing pants in the performance of said duties, gay. And that includes wearing them in musical bands or as a costume (unless your the star of Brokeback Mountain, which brings us back to---gay).

haha, agreed. The only persons who should wear chaps sans pants underneath are hot chicks. This is a form of wear I believe we can all get behind...

Wow, that was one hell of a movie. The music and acting were great and I thought it was much better than Bohemian Rhapsody.

An ex-military guy from Tennessee gives 5-star movie reviews of: A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody...there's a story here.
