JTM Training is now 'NAR Training'

SOCNET brothers & sisters,

Just keeping everyone in the loop that after 20 years of providing training & education support to a group absolutely amazing customers, our company (JTM Training Group) has been acquired by North American Rescue.

I have taken on the position of VP for NAR Training, and we've began the process of growing the NAR Training brand.

Our new website should be up and running in the next couple of months (www.narescue.com). In the meantime, please visit our old URL; www.jtmtraining.com for any training support we can provide.

I'd welcome any comments or questions in the public forum, or PM me as needed.

Thanks much and looking forward to the next 20 years!

Jim Mitchell

This is a cool development. I'm looking forward to NAR bringing the JTM-esque prorams to the eastern US as well.

Has anyone done their online EMT course? I’m interested if it’s treated as an actual online class with work and exams, or just more so like a giant PowerPoint.

I just started the online AEMT. It is definitely not a PowerPoint type slide presentation. You have an online version of the standard text book (if you don't like reading online, you can order a hard copy of the book) and there are graded quizzes as you go through the chapter and then a graded test at the end of each chapter.

There are plenty of hot links to expand on any subjects where you need help. They also provide an email address for the course instructors for you to ask specific questions. The instructors promise to get back within 48 hours but I haven't tested that yet.

BTW. Turns out there are PowerPoints for each chapter you can review as well. I didnít even notice them in the pull down menus for the chapter until after posting yesterday and going to look for them.

Do you know about housing for the skills week? Is there a good hotel to use cost wise?

I would reach out to Janet the Office Manager. She has helped me a ton with stuff thus far and would know better than me.

Their number is 888-374-7808 Ext 707.
