Welcome all.

Just a reminder that an intro here is appreciated, but does not meet the intro requirements of the user agreement.

Kinda like going straight to a Platoon without inprocessing at the Orderly Room.

Don't for get to post your introduction in the appropriate thread.

I just finished the BAC and am looking forward to the next 44'ish weeks of training to be a 37F. I'm AC and hope I get Russian but I'm open to what they give me.

Let me start by saying thank you for all of the information and I appreciate all of the advice you gentlemen have for people such as myself. I am located in Columbia SC and am being told by my recruiter FT. Jackson has 120 slots open for 37F. I wanted to know if this is a new unit and any other information you might have on what type of unit it is. I know I should get into contact with them myself and am in the process of doing so but just wanted to introduce myself since I am a new member and maybe get some information before I actually talk to the unit. Thank you in advance.

Although I originally posted in this thread in 05 (a short one), guess I need to do so again after posting in the Intro Thread earlier today. If anyone has additional questions in order to vet me and my credentials, fire away.

Name: Mike Spight
Military Experience: Some posted in my Intro, but as to ARSOF Specific, here it is--brought into FA 39C in August 1990 from MP Branch. I was in the very first Troy State University class at FBNC...yeah, the 28 guys who missed Desert Storm. While assigned to SWC, I also attended the Regional Studies Course, CA Officer Advanced Course, Basic Airborne Course, and then Spanish language training. Following language training, I reported to Co A, 96th CA Bn (Abn) in Feb 93, was assigned as a Tm Ldr, and immediately seconded to JTF-Bravo as the Director, J5-CMO, where I served for one year. Returned to Bragg, did a special project at USACAPOC, then attended CGSOC. Graduated, served three years as a CA staff officer at USSOCOM (95-98), then PCS'd to Ft. Leavenworth and BCTP. Retired in July 99 with 24 years of total service.

allow me to re-introduce myself.

haven't been here in quite a while, and would first like to offer my apologies for that fact. i was attending the academy for a fire department that i now work for.

secondly, given that i have NOT been active on this site for some time, i would like to re-introduce myself.

2004-2009 AD Marine Corps- Air Traffic Control, Military Policeman, SRT

2010-Present RC Army- 37F (MISO?) (still awaiting reclass, because my unit can't seem to get their head out of their........)

we're going on a field trip here in december sometime, so i want to learn as much as possible via any channel i can get.

I'm an OCS grad in 08 too... SIGO... I'm heading to the MISOAS next week. I just got orders to go to MCCC in July, barring a good showing at selection.
