Pj check requested - maybe

I had an interaction with a guy yesterday claiming to be a PJ. I was giving him praise for such a difficult and honorable achievement and props for his work, and I mentioned the PJ in Vietnam database. He quickly shoots back with something about his personnel records being classified.

SEAL training is not classified, it sent up a red flag. Who do I PM for a check to see if he is for real?

Try talking to him for a bit, and let your own BS meter find out if he's real or not. Please don't come running here for a "check" of an individual based on one conversation. Do your homework... some call it due diligence.

I 100% agree that one should do due diligence before running here.

My due diligence centers on whether someone's initial training or "classification" as a para jumper is ever classified. Navy SEAL training is never classified. This fact made my BS meter shoot to the top, and why I'm posting this question here. Hence the reason I put the word "maybe" in the thread title.

This is not a person I can engage in further banter about anything, but his credibility may be a strong issue in the near future. If he's full of crap, I need to run a FOIA request on him to prove it, but I don't want to waste the time and effort if this is a legitimate practice for PJ's to classify their training and certification as classified.

I really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Para-Rescue is not a classified AFSC.

Class dates/graduation, etc is unclas.

He could have a classified assignment, but being a (insert AFSC) is not classified.

Tom Pope. Oklahoma sounds familiar. He's in a VA hospice/domicile the last I heard. I can check with a few guys that visit with him regularly.

Rigger Belt

Was he wearing Rigger Belt to support necessary additional rigging to support his massive & and very dense (think of depleted uranium) balls?

No? Not Pararescue Man.

Respectfully,
