Father/son Silver Star recipient

An Law enforcement friend of mine was at a residence when he noticed a Silver Star citation on the wall. The Silver Star was awarded to the homeowner's son in Afghanistan. The son is a pilot in the 160th and his helicopter went down and he helped defend the downed helicopter which was why he was awarded the Silver Star.

As my friend was leaving he seen a second Silver Star citation on the wall. This citation belonged to the father. He was awarded the Silver Star in Vietnam for helping get wounded comrades to safety. Apparently the pair is the only living father son Silver Star recipients. I thought this was an incredible story of two generations of warriors.
