Upcoming JTAC trips / AC-130 work.

Gentlemen, current SEAL JTAC here looking for any trips coming up in October. Need something quick to knock out all minimum calls this month. Does anybody know if Hurlburt has anything going on? Any help appreciated.

Don't know where you're stationed, but this is my advice;

-If you're on the west coast, get the numbers for the 22 STS (McChord AFB, WA), and the 125 STS (Portland ANG. OR) and speak to the Operations shop. Ask about upcoming TDYs for CAS.

-East Coast get the numbers for the 21 STS (Pope/Ft Bragg, NC), 123 STS (Louisville, KY) and the 23 STS (Hurlburt Field, FL).

These CAS/JTAC trips are planned well in advance due to the air requests etc. There might be a spot open for you to attend. There are many places CONUS that are wayyyyyy better for JTAC work than Hurlburt, consequently most JTACs don't go there.

Max Power may have something if you can do CA in NOV. Shoot him a PM.

Depending on your location, I would check with Warren Grove in NJ, Dare in NC, or BT-11 in NC. Never been to Dare, but Warren Grove and BT-11 usually have plenty of air. Some of them might be working BSA and may not want to work with a JTAC, but it can't hurt to ask.

I'm ASSuming, of course, that you are East Coast, since you mentioned Hurlburt. Another suggestion would be to contact the MARSOC air shop and see what they have coming up. If you're West Coast, they can still put you in touch with one of the West Coast MARSOC air officers to piggyback on one of their trips.

A little late to the party, but in the future if you need assistance scheduling air send me a PM on here. If we don't have anything going on that you can hop in on I'm sure I can find someone that does.
