Relentless Strike by Sean Naylor

Currently reading Relentless Strike by Sean Naylor. It's the first book that I've read which gives a deep account of JSOC from its inception to present day.

It's interesting to read just how much of the 80'S and 90'S were a clusterfuck of political infighting, having to borrow air assets before TF Brown, different SOFs trying to force their way into missions by over-complicating them, and reluctance of Washington to employ.

Anyone else read the book and have experience during this time? Looking to verify or hear a different opinion about the early years.

He appears to have relied on other books written by those who served in subordinate units or that HQ's, some whose accounts have been discredited or he relied on rumors and spiteful gossip.

All in all, it was a terrible read and in some cases he lost track of chronological order, repeated things and seemed juvenile.

I give it a rating of suck to really sucks.

Brad Taylor wrote a blog post on his website with e-mail correspondence between him and Sean Naylor about supposed missions that Naylor thinks Taylor was on and the like.

I might pick up this book from the library, but I'm not wasting my money on it.

Thanks for feedback! Sounds like this one is going back to the library.
