Does anybody even read USA Today? The only time I look at it is if I'm staying at a hotel and they toss me a complimentary copy.
I thought of that after I asked if we can site the civilian papers... I came to the realization that the last time I probably read the USA today it was to get a crossword puzzle in a hotel. Oh well, better safe than sorry I suppose.

Gannett uses sites like this to find all their scoops. To say they troll Baseops.net forums to find info for Air Force Times is a giant understatement. If you really want to hit them, find a way to block their ability to visit this site and view content. I don't know how feasible that actually is given they can use their home computers vice work computers.

Just a general reminder to users of SOCNET to not post links to, or reference, Gannett sites or articles.

Did we ever get a clear cut decision on linking to USA Today?

I didn't think it was an open question.

The way I remembered it was Gannet, et al were perturbed that links to their content were coming from this site. They complained and hence the no Gannet thang.

Of course you already know all that. . .So did I miss a new discourse on all this??

The problem now days it's hard to tell who owns what company or has an interest in one. I.E. look at Taco Bell is part of a lot of different company's. Kentucky Fried Chicken is part of A&W an a few others company's just my 5 cent worth.
