My Health Is Better In November-Havilah Babcock

If anyone is a fan of the outdoors or more specifically quail hunting in the golden era of the sport; this is a must read. Havilah went on to become a renowned English professor at Univ. of South Carolina.

I'll give this a shot. I've always liked books similar to this. Give--The Old Man and the Boy by Robert Ruark a shot. A timeless classic for outdoorsmen.

My 1890 Parker Brothers grade CH 12 gauge internal hammer Bernard barreled double is currently at Turnbulls', after three years at the Stock Doctor. It should be back into my undeserving mitts in three or four more months.

Can't wait.

I'll give it a read. Sounds good.

I'm working a job up in WV today and saw a wild quail. First one I've seen in years.

That is a piece of art! Congrats. Makes my Valmet look like a turd.

I have read that and it is among my favorites. Horn of The Hunter by Ruark is also very good. May I also suggest Corey Ford and Gordon Mcquarie. Both classic outdoor writers.
