And the best is that the temp drops into the 40s and 50s at night so I'm not running my heat or AC.

Yep, Wednesday sat out by the first fire of the season, warm in the 60's (well for here, anyway) and this weekend wind chills -10 for the St Patty's Day parade in Newport, and 6 inches of snow falling today. WTF?

Major Storm here in Rhode Island. NOT. The Wx Faggots called for 12-18" of snow, We got maybe 4" and a bunch of slush. I think the News Stations have a agreement with the Big Store like Lowes and Home Depot to put out fake wx forecasts.....

The weather people were doubled up on the broadcasts. Constant weather boners. I'm in the 18-24 belt. Maybe 6 inches. What a bomb.

Ditto here. We were in the 10-12" belt and got 3". It was a bitch to shovel as it was full of ice.

Well the weather geeks got it pretty much right here. They predicted 12-20 and I'd say we're at about the 14-15 inch mark. Hard to tell with the drifting. All the doors are snowed shut and I had to go out through the barn. Stepped out into knee deep snow.

Yeah, yeah. We're all gonna die.

We were supposed to get 5" here on the Blue Ridge and we almost got enough to get the ground white.

If it's any consolation, weather in Central Europe cannot decide whether it should be spring or winter yet, too. Lots of strong winds, almost complete lack of rain, temperatures revolving around 0 Cesius at night, then going as high as 11, then dropping back to 5...a rollercoaster.

We got hit pretty good.....and we're about 25 miles north of NYC. The snowfall total was a lot less than expected (10" vs. 24" forecast), and it didn't seem THAT cold (in the teens with the windchill), but then we got a few hours of sleet followed by a few more hours of a misty drizzle.

Everything got coated and glazed over, and then the temp dropped last night into the teens....so today was fun trying to chip the remaining snow and ice off the cars/driveway/walkway and whatnot. (2 hrs with the family)

I've learned my lesson to head out during the storm, (the colder the better )and get as much snow plowing done while it's still relatively powdery (approx. 2-3 hours). Once the sleet hits.... forgetaboutit. Way to heavy, clogs the snow thrower, etc etc.

Still gotta be careful driving.

On I-80 over Donner Summit in the Truckee, CA area, snow clearing equipment keeps hitting vehicles buried in the snow drifts on the side of the freeway.

Got 19" here not a bad clean up. Phones and internet down in some areas due to trees taking lines out. Quiet day for me at work.
