NFL 2017 Thread

Might as well let the 2016 thread die since we are into free agency.

Kaepernick not being signed yet is being called a grand conspiracy.

He should have shut the hell up, played football and entertained me.

Kaepernick hasn't been any good since Harbaugh left, and I doubt he'll ever get his mojo back. Defenses figured him out, and he couldn't adapt.

Cutler has a better chance of signing with a team than Kaepernick.

Go Hawks.

I hope Marshawn Lynch gets to play with his home team, but I admit I'd like to see him back in a Seahawks jersey.

Pretty sure a lot of people thinking he's a douche isn't the same as a conspiracy.

Don't want to aim just a bit higher? To accentuate the positive, they are undefeated.

It's getting all racial up in this piece! I suppose if a white QB did the kneeling thing he would be beloved? This is Spike Lee trying to become relevant again.

I think Kapernick will get signed sometime between now and July. As much as he's declined from his Super Bowl appearance year, he's still got a lot more talent than probably 2/3rds of the backup QB's in the league, and even some starters if teams like the Browns and Texans don't fix their QB situation. Needing to be ready to win games if the starting QB goes down will have him on a roster sometime.

As to the actual season...I think we all know the Patriots are going to keep pissing people off by winning.

Kaepernic, reap what you sow motherfucker. Take your ass to a job at McDonalds and protest. Or march your ass on down to the recruiting office and put your hand out for a rifle.

Harbaugh leaving hurt CK. It took defenses 1.5 seasons to figure him out. Give him 2 more seasons of fucking around outside the pocket as his skills and body start to diminish, this assumes the usual NFL career, and he is going to get lit up by a solid linebacking corps. But yeah, I see him as a starter someplace soon.

Reportedly, he has stated he will be standing this season during our national anthem. Strangely, this coincides with him being out of a job. Fuck this clown.

It is ironic that the problems of institutional racism ended in this country the day he hit free agency.

The fact is he will find a team, but his play on the field has more to do with his unemployment than kneeling for the anthem. Kneeling during the anthem probably doesn't help his cause this early in FA, but if he could play he would be in the locker room of some team right now. As it stands he hasn't played well at all - I think at one point in a game he had 5 yards passing at halftime or something like that.

I hope he ends up washing cars somewhere. Or on an outside the lines special in about a year when he's dead broke.

My Raiders lost Murry that was a big hit for us. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they stay far far away from Peterson and all his baggage.
