Last night: 14 rounds of tabata (7min) swings. I hit 13 in 20sec, so 186 swings, then 10 TGU.

I like the tabata swings.

1:15 on/minute off x10 Max reps of Long Cycle. The difficulty comes with maintaining that consistent rep count. Let's say you hit 12 reps in the first set. Sets 6-10 need to be that same rep count. That minute rest period seems to get shorter.
Then something like:

Weighted lunge 20/24/14/14/18
Weighted Ring push-up 10/12/7/7/9
Barebell clean/jerk 5/6/4/3/5
Box Jump 10/12/7/7/9
KB snatch per hand 10/12/7/7/9
Done as a circuit.
I have similar circuit workouts of longer length when it's not a follow on to a KB workout.

Last night: 150 swings straight. Why? Why not.

I think I need a heavier KB.

Ok, so I got a little creative based on the some recent posts here...

e5 - I tried those side, circular cleans. I like them - a lot. I started with a 16kg to be safe, and I'll stay there until I feel I have mastered it. But I really like the different vectors it engages.

After that little experiment, I did this:
Circuit - using two 24kg Bells
- Pushups on KB handles x15
- KB rows from upright Pushup position - 5x each arm
- "swing" forward into an L-sit - hold for 5 seconds
- Spring back to pushup position
- Move to double-swing position and do 5 double swings
- Double clean to 5 front squats

Did 3 circuits, with adequate rest between (which I needed, LOL). I was planning on doing C&P as part of the double-clean to front squats, but I wasn't feeling it, so I adjusted on the fly.
This is a smoker, at least for me... But I felt great afterwards.

I have been traveling non-stop and am having to use dumb bells as kettle bells. 5 sets of 20 Goblet squats, planks and swings.

I may do some squats and planks and then do a 100-150 swing set.......

OK, ashamedly, I did three sets of 20 squats, planks and 50 swings with a 5 lb dumb bell. I guess it beats eating chips ahoy.

I typically do the same thing. I may try other things, but always revert back to the baseline.

For me - I am always focusing on the baseline with KBs - i.e. swings, TGUs and squats. But I also strongly believe in variety and mixing things up. If for nothing else than keeping me motivated to continue to work.

I like throwing in the USSS snatch test every once in a great while.

Yes, sir. Occasional pressure testing with snatches is a must. My shoulder is finally at a point where I can handle multiple sets of snatches.

Nah, roasts there vary wildly. Otherwise I'm committed to swinging like your mom in the 70's...

Did a strength day yesterday:

Typical warmup - prehab/rehab work.
- Then - one set of easy 2 hand swings with 24k, and 12 goblet squats

Main workout:
- 3 x 8 deadlift with 48kg
- 3 x 8 (each leg) single leg deadlift with 32kg
- 3 x 8 double 24kg front squats

- 2 x 12 two hand swings with 32kg
- 2 x 12 two hand swings with 48kg
- 2 x 10 double kb swings with 24kg

- 2 x 10 C&P 32kg (one arm at a time)
- 2 x 10 double C&P 24kg (simultaneous)

10 TGUs (5 each side, continuous) with 32kg

Thorough cool down and stretch.

The last 3 TGUs were a gut check. I thought about going down to a 24kg, but said fuck that. Lying in a puddle when finished.
