Small pleasures...

...with so much fucktardery going on nowadays, I thought it might be nice to post something that dials it back a bit. I'll start:

The first, freshly brewed cup of joe in the morning.

Usually happens about minute 5:00 of my warm up and, yes, it is a pleasure.

Watching my daughter ride a bike. She had a push bike (also called a balance bike) we got for her when she was 3 and now she has a Cinderella bike that was a gift for her 5th birthday. She flies on this thing, and I had to really run to keep up with her as we went up and down the street. She thinks I'm trying to race her and tries to go faster when I'm just trying to keep telling her to watch where she's going!

skipping training wheels FTW

That first sip of Bourbon on a crisp fall saturday afternoon while your favorite College football team is playing. My kid saying "Dad", My wife giving me a look that let's me know she just feel in love with me all over again, Seeing the "Lightbulb" go off in a young Soldier/Students eye when he finally gets it. I could go on and on.
