Aegis KESF

Good afternoon, gents.
I did some poking around but was unable to secure any current info on Aegis KESF. If there is anyone who is currently under contract on this gig and feels like shedding some light on a couple things, I would appreciate your assistance. Thanks.

Aegis

Ive been poking around trying to get in on this, but Aegis keeps directing me to their static gigs in BAF and JBad, but hey, nobody ever got anywhere taking no for an answer.
Many people have left KBOSSS to go there, and they recently sent out recruiting documents for it. I talked to one guy on ground and its labeled "PSS" but its more like Static with a QRF element. The rotation is good, but Im not sure enough about the pay to post it here.
Please, share any pertinent info you come across.

Spoke to a fellow who is currently on this contract.
Aegis KESF PSS is exactly what you described from what I was told; Static/ERT. Apparently the Dip Escort is under another task order. This is confusing as the language on the website strongly implies it is an escort gig, but whatever. Rotations are 15 weeks on, 5 weeks off. They are not building a bench currently; they need guys and they are deploying right after training as long as their paperwork is all good.
I might suggest that the recruiters you have spoken to are pushing you in the direction of the gigs on BAF and JBad for two reasons: 1. They have a greater need for guys on the static gigs there or, 2. Your experience/creds don't match up with the PSS requirements.
Hope this info helps, good luck.

I assume SB will say something, so I will nip it in the bud before he does. This is not first hand info, and I shouldn't have posted it here. As it clearly states, "this is not ihearditfromabudnet". Apologies. My suggestion is to continue speaking with an Aegis recruiter and gather info directly from him/her.

If it is anything like KSEF contracts in the past my educated guess is this is "escorting" the TCN's from their camp, via buses, for their shift and then back to camp at the end of their shift. Nothing sexy about it fellas.

The good news is no matter where you end up on that contract, you will have an excellent medical team taking care of you! TMH is their Medical Provider for Afghanistan Ops.

I am on this project if you have specific questions pm me. I will tell you go to the website and apply a recruiter will contact you quickly if you meet the requirements.

Also to THM's comment we do not have THM here on the KESF project. We have inhouse clinics and PSS/Medics and CHS handles the Embassy along with EHU.

Yes, sorry I meant to say we are the Medical Provider for KAF and BAF and soon to be Jbad. Sorry for any confusion.

And it is TMH, not THM....

Just to clarify my post about TMH they do the BAF and KAF medical for Aegis and are a great group of guys. They are not on the KESF project which is what I was referring to. But I have spoken with guys on those other projects and they are well cared for by the medical teams there.

TMH's post reeks of an unsolicited/unauthorized attempt at advertising, in addition to neither being factual nor relevant to this thread....

Sorry SOTB.

First, someone mentioned BAF and JBAD and knowing what medical support you have is relevant to some especially if they were being pushed towards that static contract.

The topic took slight tangent but overall good info. Stating a fact is not advertising.

Anyone currently on this contract that I can shoot a message to? Have a few specifics to ask, I'm waiting on security clearance to be completed at the moment.

Hey gents, just wanted to get some additional info regarding the Aegis PSS course in Montross. I have been informed that the course is being run by VxL, not O'Gara. Does anyone know how they stack up against each other training-wise? I read some conflicting info on a dated thread. Some members say VxL is good, others say not so good. They say the same for O'Gara. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

VxL is providing the training for Aegis but they use the O'Gara facility in Montross Va. The PSS course is the same for everyone, the only real difference you will see is the approach or the attitude of the instructors at the various providers. The curriculum is directed by DOS, so it's basically the same course wherever you go. VxL and O'Gara are like just about every other provider, they have some solid cats and some world class douche-nozzles.

One of the senior VxL instructors is a member here and is a solid guy. I'm sure he'll eventually be around to answer your questions (he was logged-in earlier today).

Questions like this always make me chuckle (and not necessarily in a good way). They also make me want to ask this -

You have been vetted and accepted for a training course. Upon completion of the training you get to go and make over 6 figures and take lots of cool selfies for your FB page. If someone on a message board says "All the instructors are dicks and suck ass" are you NOT going to attend the training? Like Hillary once said - "What difference does it make?"

In the contracting world, as the old saying goes, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. Just go do the training dude.

Lol. I think it is a fair question actually.

Besides, all O'Gara's best left there a few years ago

It was difficult for me not to say bad things, but the dudes that fucked us ain't the cats that deal with the students so I refrained. Didn't want the poster to get the impression that O'Gara's guys all suck, it's just their leadership that's awfully JV.
