That doesn't mean he is devoid of facts. But what he writes should not be deemed as truthful and accurate, IMO.
With that said, at least some of the stuff in the OP seems to check out.

It is a problem in the ME and with some who migrate from there.

No surprise that some of the Muslim websites defend the practice and some left leaning publications are chiming in with their support as well.

I was also surprised to learn that 1st cousin marriage is legal in several states, California is one of them. I had thought it was only legal in a few southern states.

I think it's because in my state it has always been illegal and I just assumed it was that way pretty much everywhere else.

When I was a kid, my impression of the south came largely from what I saw on the movie, Deliverance, similar films and probably the TV shows and many jokes about southerners. That form of personally bigotry pretty much lasted until my late teens when I met and dated a girl from Arkansas and traveled to that area to see things for myself.

And I really hadn't given the 1st cousin issue any thought at all until I read the OP and then googled a little.

This article kind of touches on the difficulty of breaking the tradition in the ME

One of the only cousin-couples that I know of is from around Henderson...and I'm from Carter County originally. Facts speak for themselves.

It is interesting to note that in KY and W. Virginia first cousin marriages are illegal. But in the enlightened states of California, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts (and some other states) it is legal.

Two of my grandfather's cousins were married to each other. None of my female cousins are hot enough though.

You only need the laws in areas where people are retarded enough to bang their cousins to begin with. People in CA do some dumb shit but nothing that far off the deep end.....

I just checked JSTOR and this guy has zero published material. Who even knows what his credentials are? He has one book, titled "Among Criminal Muslims" that apparently details his work at a youth prison.

Why is a psychologist making such grand, sweeping claims? There's nothing scientific about this. Just racist hogwash, which is ironic because while Islam is not a race, this guy sure treats it as one.

I believe this article has merit from what I witnessed in the ME. Chronic dehydration and starvation sprinkled with inbreeding surely cannot result in many electrical engineers, college professors nor Nobel Prize winners.

But I have to admit I have some VERY hot 1st cousins that if given the opportunity........

This assertion requires photographic proof of its factual correctness.

Unless his answer is "male", of course.
