NFL 2016 Thread

Finally it is here. Time to chill out on Sundays with pizza, fireplace soon and veg in front of the TV all day.

The 49ers suck this year and have for the last 2 with the departure of Harbaugh.

The Cowboys v Giants game today should be a good matchup.

Jets have not been eliminated. We're still in it!

I'm excited to see how the Titans do. They're going old school with a power running game. The offense looked good in preseason, too bad that doesn't mean shit. Mariota is the real deal if they can keep him healthy. The secondary sucks, so the game plan is to control the clock and keep the D off the field.

With a 7th round pick starting at QB, a few key losses on defense, and the revenge factor, I thought Carolina would beat Denver the other night. But they once again pounded Cam and got away with several shots to the head.

I'll be honest that this comment still makes me laugh every year that it is posted.

I put $20 down at the Westgate Superbook on the Browns winning the Super Bowl. With 200-1 odds I had to take a chance. With the CAVS winning it all this year, we have now become the City of Champions. Am I right? Right? Hello? Bueller?

New season, new QB, new front office, new coach. Since 1999 we are on our 2nd owner, 8th head coach, 5th front office, and I think we are on starting QB #26.

But this year it'll be different.

Let's Go JAGS!!!! Hoping for 8-8 this year and contention for a playoff spot. We looked awful in preseason, but who knows until we play the Packers today. Go JAGS! !!

The Bears teased us for the 1st half, but here in Chicago we knew better than to fall for it.

Naysayer. I took Zach Miller as my TE for my ESPN fantasy team.

Zach teased a whole nation of Fantasy Football fans in 2015, and now they're paying the price.

Actually, as long as he stays healthy (which he had trouble with early in his career) he should have a good season.

Kevin White looks like anything but a #1 draft pick at this point, but maybe he'll pick up steam as the season progresses. He could make little mistakes in college and probably get away with it, not in the NFL though.

Actually RGIII was starting QB #25 since '99, but the way the game went today I am pretty confident we could hit #26 no problem. Maybe even #27 and #28.

Something tells me we are going to be choosing very high in the draft , but in true Browns fashion the head coach will get them playing as a team at the end of the season and we will lose out on the #1 pick. LOL.

Some really good games so far, starting with the Thursday game. How about the Raiders going for 2 and the win? Chargers blowing a huge lead in classic Charger fashion.

Was at the Giants-Cowboys game yesterday. ...great atmosphere. ...they did a very nice job commemorating 9/11 and the families of the police officers recently killed...very patriotic and moving pre game

Both teams played very hard. Dak played very well...in the end though.....Big Blue came through!

The Raiders - Saints game looked like the defenseless Big 12 teams from a few years ago that played games with scores like 52-48 with 1200 yards of total offense. But going for 2 to win was an awesome call....though only because they converted. If that failed, someone would have spun up the Fire DelRio servers.

The Patriots without Brady and the Gronk (sing it like Benny and the Jets) just beat a contender for the NFC championship. In a game where Fitzgerald and Johnson went into Madden Mode, the pats still win.

Colts.... OMFG! the Dolts....Game ending lateral-a-roski ending in a safety. Irsay's pill doctor is going to be working overtime. I'm going to spend a lot of this season giggling if this preview continues. Next week @ Denver, week 3 vs Chargers, then @Jax. Will this be a 0-4 start?

Jags looked pretty decent against the Packers. D played well and so did the O, running game was a little lackluster. Special teams played very well and the punter had a big day.

Last season they looked inept - yesterday they didn't. They still have some kinks to iron out but if they play the rest like they did Sunday we will be competitive and win more games. Robinson and Hurns are going to become a potent tandem with Bortles throwing the ball. Still have yet to here why Chris Ivoiry had to ggo to the hospital and miss the game.

After this last KaeperDick fiasco and all the dick bags that are joining him I think I'm done with the NFL.
