Marine Corps Force Fitness Instructor

Anyone have first hand knowledge of either the justification behind this or the potential expected benefits of the program? I am really hoping this isn't the USMC's version of CrossFit...

I can totally get behind the concept of proper programming and teaching correct technique (something I wish I had many years ago) for injury prevention or optimizing training goals. I am just not confident this will be implemented in the fleet properly. There is already the PFT, the CFT, plus regular unit PT. I guess you could toss in MCMAP also. It will be interesting to see how this is implemented at the unit level.
