Taking on #3 Florida St. on Saturday, I guess that is the Cinderella team for the time being. Or do you really only get to be considered that if you make it to the 3rd round?
Spinner, your pick looks good. Hope Florida State pulls it out but I wouldn't be surprised if they loose. Again, we've been great at home but suck on the road.

Ouch! Thought we could loose but did not think we would be this flat and stink so bad. Good game Xavier!

Xavier ran FSU completely out of the gym.

I knew Nova wasn't as good this year as last. But was not expecting them to go out in the second round. Good job by Wisconsin.

Today was a mess. Way to go Xavier but jeeze... Couldn't ya have at least THOUGHT of my bracket before wrecking it? Looking forward to the UK vs Wichita game tomorrow. Should be a tough one and should also reveal Kentucky's motivation.

How about that. A year after the Wolverines self-destruct against Notre Dame, they take down Louisville.

I wanted to see Mount Saint Mary's beat Villanova in the 1st round, much like the 2007 Appalachian State / Michigan (football) game, where the little guy slaughters all hopes and dreams of the big guy early in the season / tournament.

Alas, the predictable happened and Villanova beat Mt. St. Mary's.

Plus, the Mount was my father's Alma matter.

Looks like Xavier is playing Cinderella this year, and the Big Ten is dominating the top seeds so far. As for NU, nice comeback but a bad non-call pretty much sealed their fate.

I composed a little ditty for all of the top seeds that have gone down in defeat thus far, and for all those that will take a tumble in the ensuing rounds.

It is sad, mournful and mercifully short.

Missed the 2nd half of that game, sounds like another good one. This is the kind of game that should be played in the 3rd round, the committee did a terrible job seeding teams as well as where they wound up regionally.

The Gamecocks not only beat Duke, the overall stat line was much more lopsided than the score. Lots of high seeds losing early this year.

The Lady Gamecocks beat ASU tonight, and the news hasn't made it to the west coast yet.

It sucks that Nova went down. I'm annoyed that it was to Wisconsin, but at least it wasn't OSU or Michigan. (PSU grad here.)

The NCAA did a horrible job. Every coach, I think, has said something about it. ESPN did a good write-up on its website this weekend about it.

Freaking Duke. I did not expect them to win this year, but I did expect them to beat an inferior team. Ah, fuck it. How long till football season??

Which inferior team? The one that beat them?

Yes.

I know it's the nature of the tournament, and it is what makes the tourney so much fun...underdogs win, David-and Goliath and all (hey, I still remember the NC State win in 83).

Still annoyed, though.
