Right now, Korn - Freak On A Leash. Before that was AC/DC - Big Gun. A whole lotta heavy metal is next on the playlist.

Been getting back into country lately, Darius Rucker has some great tunes, and there's always to old stand-bys (Johnny Cash, Willie, Merle, etc).

Other than country, been listening to the Bouncing Souls for years and years, just saw them in concert again a couple weeks ago. Great show, and cool tunes.

Waltz of the Masquerade, by Aram Khachaturian. Excellent for the costume time of Halloween. I show older Son of my Friend scene from Grand Masquerade, and explain to him that behind one of the costume is the Devil, and what happens if you choose to dance with him because you are tricked by the costume. He is nervous to watch the scene, and angry when I do not tell him the end of the story. :)

In this rare case, I defer to the Russians- their Philharmonic does this waltz the best of all.

Can't say enough good things about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, that girl rocks like nobody since Shirley Manson or Courtney Love.

I see we have lots of metal aficionados here. I didn't realize it had such a following anymore until my roommate in Iraq introduced me to the likes of GoatWhore, A.C., and that sort of thing.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs - I agree. She does rock. Heads will Roll.....

Currently listening to the Foo Fighters. Lately, the Kings of Leon, Incubus, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 and My Chemical Romance.

Thanks for reveal of The Big Pink.

Riley Weston, (and in the spirit of full discloser, a very good friend) I got to preview some of her country songs that she wrote and recorded recently. They should be on itunes by mid or late November if everything goes well.

This is all I could find of her singing that was on the internet currently. It is her singing an old classic at a charity foundation event.

I listen to whatever my son puts on my Ipod. He is pretty good and putting on songs I would like and even a couple of albums. Every now and then he slips up and there will be some RAP on it (only because he forgot to delete it before syncing my Ipod.

The most amusing song my son put on there was "Thats not my name" or some such shit by the Tings or Tongs or some such named group. I actually like it.
I am always telling folks "That is not my name" When referred to a Joseph or Patrick...

I don't listen to much music on the radio even though I have XM radio in the truck.

Watching the video now, I am struck by how much of my current fashion and grooming was apparently dictated by the lead singer.

I remember AC-DC opening for Aerosmith.

I got kicked out of the Judas Priest concert.

I'd add Pat Benatar and Joan Jett to the list - because they're hott!

Anybody remember the "US Festival" in California? I barely do... lol
