New optic sights for personal M4

I built up an M4 and am now looking for some optics. EO techs are good but pricy. Does anybody any any suggestions on some good mid price range optics that wont turn my M4 into a "crew served weapon" weight wise.
Thanks!

Tate Defense has some pretty good prices -- I compared them with Bravo Company USA which I really like for weapons parts, for their customer service and prices -- and some of their EOTech optics prices -- Tate Defense -- are a bit lower.

I'm more of an Aimpoint fan personally...

IOR-Valdada makes (well, imports) a nice sight, equivalent to an ACOG but much less pricey (still not cheap, though). The only downside is that it doesn't have quick release attachments, an issue I solved by getting the slimest riser I could from Larue that had quick release attachment, then Loctited the IOR to the riser. Works pretty well.

I think you need to decide what type of sight first. Red dot, or something with magnification. There are lots of choices out there, ACOG, Aimpoint, EoTech, Leupold, etc...

If you are seeking a red dot type of sight that is small and lightweight consider the Aimpoint T-1.

LOL....I'd have to go watch the movie again. Your memory is better than mine. It's the gun I am currently running. 10.5" 416, Surefire M-900, Comp ML-3, 3X twist-off magnifier, and an ITAL IR laser. I dont have my suppressor yet but supposedly it's on the way.

What are the current EOTech problems? I got the newest Gen 552 NV AA Model (at the time) in 2003 and it worked great in Iraq, and ever since. What's up with the new ones?

I run an Aimpoint Comp ML-3 with an Aimpoint 3X Twist-off Maginifier. I love it.

2nd Choice would be an ACOG with a JPoint or Dr Optic on top.

Neither are cheap.

Thanks Sharky: I will check out the prices for these. I am more partial to the aim point having used them before. howz the range on the magnifier?

And I know there are a lot of choices on stores and online BUT, who has found "cheap as dirt" to be any good? Calabas maybe?

Thx.

Right on.

I've got an Aimpoint Comp ML-3 2MOA on my home weapon and a Comp M-3 2MOA on my work weapon. I just traded in an EOTech 552 for the Aimpoint for "I know it'll work" reasons. I also have a dark earth EOTech 553 at home still in the box, with nothing for it to go on so I'll probably end up selling it.

I'm trying to build -- very slowly I might add -- a MK12 next. I'm planning on running a Leupold sight, but who knows because I love the ACOG/Doctor Optic combo so much. Again, who knows... I'll probably still throw a Doctor Optic on it either way, but at a 30 degree angle further down the rails.

Sorry for rambling...
