SB approved. I'll just keep it in this thread.

This is a new, different gig I'm on. It's a very high profile celebrity client, and growing exponentially. We have need of 5-8 EP agents, preferably full time (but also part time may work).

- EP experience required
- Military or LE experience preferred
- Guard card and exposed, minimum, CCW wanted
- prefer 30-45yo

Pay is competitive, and there's the potential here for plenty of growth. It's a good gig (as opposed to a shitty gig, if you've done it you know), it just requires maturity, experience, and discretion. I'm not in charge of hiring; if you fit the above, and are in Los Angeles or surrounding, PM me. If you know someone who does, PM me. I'll pass it to the appropriate person.

Guard card is fast, exposed takes 6 months or something, I'm not sure right now. If you end up getting them, let me know...

Takes a few weeks after the class to get the guard card. Exposed firearm is the same.

BSIS is crazy, i have seen it as fast as just a few days, as long as two or more months. I would say average is two to four weeks.

The company I work for conducts both classes, we hold them about once a month. if interested PM me, we are likely the least expensive you will find not because the training is inferior but because we use it to obtain applicants and not as a for profit operation for the training.

We conduct the classes in Pasadena CA.

In follow up to the above post, we have now worked out with the Salvation Army that they will pay all costs associated with our California BSIS courses, for veterans.

This means you can obtain a CA Guard Card, Firearms Permit along with a Baton and Pepper spray permits for free. The course is one week. PM with an email address, and I will have our lead instructor send you details.

Anyone know of an opportunity in LA or south to the US/MEX border (with occasional OCONUS travel not a problem) in the area of Protection/Trainer/Mobile Security Team Member? Tks - seahund

This detail keeps growing. We now need a couple hi caliber, professional agents for estate security, no CCW required (though it's a plus, and could enable a crossover to EP work/travel), CA guard card and exposed permit only, veteran preferred, 25-45 years old, must be fit. It's a solid detail with above average pay, 12hr shifts. It's also somewhat delicate, good customer service capabilities required. PM me!

Is the exposed firearms permit and age a hard requirement?

According to the CA Attorney Generals Office, they do not recognize LEOSA. I received this information directly from two different sources in their office when traveling their for an EP assignment this past summer. Every PD, CHP, etc. seemed to believe I was fine but couldnít find anything solid so I called the AG office. Was told no simply because they donít recognize any other states CCW permit. YMMV!

Interesting. In June I received my LEOSA certification from the .... wait for it... California AG's Office (California Dept. of Justice). California has no choice but to recognize LEOSA. However, maybe LEOSA isn't accepted for EP, etc.

Indeed that is interesting. I am a sworn LEO and I didn’t mention anything about doing EP work. Simply asked what, if any, restrictions were put on LEO’s from other states visiting CA. Could you PM me how you went about getting a LEOSA Cert from them? Maybe being a retired CA LEO had something do with you receiving it?
