Hello everyone hope all is well.
I saw a few jobs posted with Whitestone group and was hoping some people had any information on the company (good or bad).
Thank you in advance for your help!

Avoid them. No leadership; shitty management.

Big stay away from. They operate more like a mom and pop security company that guards mall parking lots than a professional federal contract company. My supervisor was amazing and was probably the best boss I ever had in my life. And the group I worked with had decades worth of law enforcement, military, and federal contract experience. We were like family and could count on each other. But keep in mind we rotated in under Whitestone when our previous contract company's contract expired. We didn't belong to them they just lucked out and got way better than they deserved. Whitestone had no respect or appreciation for our experience or how we had zero complaints from our federal clients.

Also if it matters they still don't believe in direct deposit. Instead they mail you a hard check on the day you get paid. So be prepared to drive to wherever you are working to get your check then go to your bank and deposit it. That right there should be a warning to stay away from them.

In addition they take your federally mandated health and welfare money and put it in a 401K for you. However the company they partnered with keeps the money in a hidden escrow account that you do not have access to and does not put it in a 401k till it reaches a certain amount. During this time the management company is charging you a maintenance fee. Of all the federal contract company's I've worked for I have never seen anything like this.

Sound like a stable and legit professional federal contract company that wants to attract the best and experienced candidates to you ?

So instead of posting a new topic, I will piggy back off of this one. Csn anyone give me more info on what the hiring process is like, I know with fedeal contracting it can be hit or miss on hiw the company is ran. Currently on another gsa contract, but wouldn't mind the bump in pay.

Just like any other job. Fill out paperwork, wait, fill out more paperwork, go to training, wait again, then work.

Specific questions will get specific answers.

I alresdy have a DoD secret so I am not worried about the background process, but is this a company that says they have a contract and they are only actually bidding on it?

Don't know the details. Did you ask them or expecting us to read minds?

I'm asking from people's personal experience with the company. I emailed the contact I have and waiting on a response.

I think you're failing at reading comprehension here...Ask specific questions and you may receive answers. If you want to know whether the company has a certain contract, it would be helpful to know what contract you're referring to.

Did you ask your recruiter or HR if they have an award or just collecting resumes before asking here? Because getting info right from the source is overrated.

Yes I asked, the answer they gave me is why I came here (that they can't give me much info, other then the pay, and the area) . And then reading this thread raised some red flags.

If they can not answer whether or not there is an actual award of a contract then I would consider your future dealings with them. Your call, but that's shady from them.
